Once upon a time....

There once was a girl who wanted to travel the world. She wanted to get out beyond her narrow horizon and see what lay on the other side. To fly in planes, meet exotic people, and see exotic sights. She waited for the day when she would get her chance to put her feet on the road to Somewhere, but she just didn't know how to get there. Then one day she got this letter, and a whole new world opened up to her that she had never thought of in her life. The world of Rotary Youth Exchange, and all of the opportunity that accompanies it. That girl who dreamed past the sunset was me and this is the story of my year abroad in Finland, a land of reindeer and icy deeps (and Santa!). A place I can't wait to experience and enjoy.
