Unbelieveable.....

There,s no root beer in Finland....so they have never heard of root beer floats. I had to make one with Pepsi but it wasn`t nearly as good:( But my host family thought it was prety good so at least they tried something new....

Week One

Moi!
This first week has gone by so fast, but I have been so busy that it seems like I have been here in Finland for a month already. I am all settled in with my host family, and also at the local lukio. Everything is very similar to home,but random stuff is completely different ( blanket cases and toilet flushers). The food is also really similar but I have discovered that I love rye bread and salmiakki. And of course there is coffee everywhere... School is challenging,but only because the text books are in  another language. Most of my classes are taught in English but the homework is always in Finnish so Google translate is quickly becoming my best friend. Unfortunately my eagerness to learn Finnish has aled me to be exhausted all the time as I surround myself with it,and then have to tranlte it. So I have designated Wednesday as nap day since I only hve two classes...I am having lots of fun and I hope that everyone will find a ay to live without me no matter how depressing it is:)
